• Foam vinyl. The structure is porous, which allows the walls to “breathe”. This is the only breathable type of vinyl wallpaper. But there is a disadvantage of porosity: it is not recommended to wet them strongly. You can clean them, but with a damp cloth. What else is good – due to the thick film is well masked even significant irregularities.

  

• Solid vinyl. Very dense and rigid film, the surface often imitates various natural finishing materials: stone, brick, textiles, textured plaster, etc. Imitation is very high quality, the palette of colors – the widest. Liquid formulations

This is a mixture of cellulose, cotton, and sometimes chemical? fibers with a coloring pigment and adhesive. There are two forms of release: ready to use in vedas or in packets for dilution with water. They are applied with spatulas on the prepared surface. It should not be perfectly flat: the thickness of the layer can be up to 5 mm, but also too high consumption is unprofitable financially.

The composition is applied with a spatula. Some masters use plastic ones made of plexiglass, some – ordinary ones made of stainless steel, and someone generally works “ironing”. There are many techniques, you choose the one that is most convenient for you.

Natural

They look great – the surface is natural. However, they have their own peculiarities. Cork is torn off, which in families with children can be a problem. How to glue: choice of color and design

The color design of the corridor often has to be matched to the existing decor of other rooms of the apartment or house. And this means that you have to stick to the same range or choose from matching colors. And the choice of color is complicated by the presence of a large number of doors. In general, narrow corridors – this is a separate conversation. With the help of some tricks you can achieve the effect of expanding the space. For example, with a sufficient height of ceilings, in a narrow corridor in the middle of the wall can make a strip of a different color. This technique allows you to “collapse” the walls to the sides. The effect is increased if the opposite wall has a large mirror or mirrored closet doors.

You can use in a narrow corridor wallpaper in stripes. But look for wide stripes. Narrow ones will create a motley effect. If the ceilings are high, you can place the stripes horizontally, if not – vertically.

How to combine wallpaper in the corridor

If desired, you can combine the stripe with a large floral ornament. But to pick up wallpaper from different collections without the appropriate skills is extremely difficult. In this case, it is easier to use one collection. Many manufacturers produce canvases with different patterns, which are combined with each other. By the way, pay attention, the color of the door is almost exactly the same as one of the stripes, and the jambs – with another. Perhaps that’s why this option looks beautiful.

There is a classic variant of combination: when 1/3 of the walls above or below is covered with other wallpaper. The lower part, as a rule, is made darker, the upper part – lighter. This technique visually “lowers” the ceiling, which is useful if the room is narrow and high.

And the lower part is not necessarily monochrome. It can be a small drawing, stripes, sometimes – monograms. It all depends on the style of the apartment or house.

Photo wallpaper
