Materials and designs

Wall hangers for hallways are made of three materials: wood, laminated chipboard, metal. Often there are combinations: the base – wooden or chipboard, and hooks and strips – metal. Hooks can still be plastic, but they are usually present in the budget segment of chipboard.

If we talk about the designs, there are not very many of them. In the traditional version, this is a slat, on which hooks are fixed. The slats can be arranged vertically or horizontally. Vertical options allow you to visually increase the height of the ceiling, so in the hallways buy them most often. But the horizontal ones are compact and can be located even in a small corridor.

Vertical

The body of the vertical wall rack is made of wood or chipboard. The length can be from 30-40 cm to 2 meters. The shape can be straight or curved, rounded.

It can be made of not wide lamellae, and maybe – from a solid piece of chipboard or several, intricately connected.

There are options with a built-in mirror. Pay attention to the width and the location of the mirror. It can be either on the right or on the left.

There are hangers upholstered with leather or leatherette. They look in the interiors of the classic direction.

Rarely met, but there are vertical models made of metal. Usually it is forging. They are, of course, very decorative – handmade, but they also cost a decent price. But you can order from the master of such a variant, which suits you exactly. And by design, and by size.

If we talk about the functional part, not just the external, it does not hurt to have shelves in the upper part. On them it is convenient to stack hats. Also decide on the number of hooks. The more they are, the better, but if you really like some model, and the hooks on it are not enough, you can install additional ones.

Before you go to the store, carefully measure the available space, determine the maximum and minimum width. It is also a good idea to have an idea of how high you want the cabinet to be.

Horizontal

Horizontal hangers in the corridor or hallway are more compact. Visually they “stretch” the wall in width, can be installed in a small partition or corner.

Their basis – a board of rectangular or more complex shape. Furniture LDFP is also used, there are metal and forged variants. Some are closer to the classic style (more often wood), some are also suitable for hallways in modern styles.

Interesting is the option with bending hooks. They are made either from metal frames, or from wooden slats. How many hooks – bent, the rest make a single composition with the body. Interesting.
