Two-room apartments are probably the most common housing in our country, because for some time they accounted for about 60% of the total number of apartments in all houses under construction. But the number of residents is very different: from one person to four or five. Naturally, the needs and requirements for the arrangement are different. And that the remaining opening did not look like something alien, it can be designed in the form of an arch, rounding the corners.

The most logical will be the design of the whole apartment in one style. This does not mean that there should be one color scheme. Not at all. And one style – does not mean monotony. Within one style there are very wide possibilities and a sea of variations.

The distinction between the kitchen and dining areas is emphasized by the design of the walls, the organization of the ceiling and the lighting. All of them emphasize the presence of two zones with different purposes, although there are no clear boundaries.

In the bathroom, the beige and brown color scheme is retained, but again the character of the interior changes. Pay attention to the multi-stage lighting and ceiling design – an interesting design solution visually raises the ceiling. Also interesting and functional are the protrusions around the perimeter. This complicates the laying of tiles, but many times increases functionality: there is no need for hinged shelves: everything will fit perfectly on the ledges.

In the design of the bedroom appears pink color and graphic images of birds on branches. The style is still the same, but no one will say that the apartment looks monotonous.

In this interior, non-standard forms are used: semicircular furniture and partitions. So in the living room is dominated by a large sofa, which has the shape of an arc, near it – an oval table, smooth lines are present on the multi-level ceiling.

The unusual feature of this interior is that the bedroom is practically one with the living room. It is separated only by a semicircular partition-column. You can see the bed, which is partially viewed from the sofa of the living room.

This series of houses has been built for several decades. They continue to build them now, there are several modifications. Nevertheless, the general principle of construction remains standard: all apartments with a separate layout. They are distinguished from earlier buildings by the large size of all rooms, including the kitchen.

General description of the apartment

This 2-room apartment has a total area of 55 square meters. meters. m. The disadvantages include a combined bathroom and an unsuccessfully located door to the smaller room: it is directly opposite the entrance room, which is inconvenient.

In this case, the apartment is designed for a family with children. The owners decided that they would be more satisfied with a joint bathroom. It was also decided to remove the partition separating the children’s room from the hallway and put a spacious closet in its place. Thus, a little space was saved and functionality was not affected.

Under a large closet is occupied and part of the area, which is to the right of the door to the bedroom, which will also be used as a living room.

In the hallway with an area of a little less than 6 square meters. m. installed a closet. On the second wall is nailed a coat rack and under it a cabinet. Above the coat rack is the apartment electrical panel, so that it does not draw attention to itself, the cabinet is painted with paint of the same color as the furniture elements. Its upper surface can be used for storing small things.

The living room and, at the same time, the parents’ bedroom is decorated in the same color – gray with turquoise trim. This is not accidental: this technique allows you not to delimit the space, despite the presence of partitions.

At the far end of the room is organized workplace. It is separated by a shelf-stable of small height, thanks to which the space is not divided, but the zoning is quite clear.

To the right of the door there is a large closet under the ceiling. Partly it has open shelves, partly – closed. In this place you can make a narrow dressing room or a built-in closet. The dressing room will have limited functionality – its width, with this layout, is only 80 cm, which is not enough, but still it is realistic to equip it. For now it was decided to put the cabinet furniture – to save money.

The children’s room is not very large, so it was decided to use the window sill as a table. For a more compact placement put a bunk bed. At the bottom are drawers that can be used for storing toys and bedding.

Kitchen-dining room has a relatively small area – a little more than 9 square meters. m. To make it look visually spacious, the walls are painted in white. The furniture is of the same color. A bright spot on the white background stands out kitchen apron – green color. The same green shade soft covers for chairs.

Note that the curtains in the kitchen are roller blinds. The move is thoughtful. First, the windows in this layout are not linear, but at an angle. With this arrangement it is convenient to still use Roman. There may be classic, but not in this design variant: they do not fit the style. But thanks to the fact that the curtains are compact, it is possible to use the window sill, and also give it an interesting shape.

Despite the fact that the partition in the bathroom is removed, it remains small. We have to look for a place for a washing machine, as there is nowhere to put it in other rooms.

The place for the washing machine was found under the washbasin. It is specially selected with a large area. It is under it and the machine is located, and the platform protects it from water ingress.

In order that the room does not seem so small, the tiles on the walls are laid white glossy. The highlight of this interior are panels of tiles in blue – one of the colors that are present in the design of other rooms.

As you can see, and this design of a two-room apartment is made in the same style. In any room there is a certain stylistic orientation, although the color scheme and the created mood and feeling they are different.
